Summary
Concerning his contribution to the memorial Knight is writing on Principal Shairp; saying that what he is sending him "...appeared as far as I know only in the Transactions of the Devonshire Association for 1868 of which association I was then President for the year. I had a few spare copies but I think they are all given away - I have certainly none here - If I can find any in London I will send you one - On such questions I am only the repeater of what I learned from other & much abler men than myself - I sometimes think of collecting a volume of papers; but first no one would publish them, & if they did, next no one would read them;" saying how much he and Lady Coleridge enjoyed his visit and adding "Don't overwork yourself."
