Summary
Discussing a day for the next annual meeting of the Wordsworth Society and commenting on his trip to America; saying "As to May next any day is equally convenient to me if the hour be made somewhere about 4. Wednesday is the best day of the week because on that day the House of Lords does not sit & though it is unlikely, yet it is possible, that on Monday Tuesday Thursday & Friday I might be obliged to attend in the House. As to my own paper you must not regard it as certain. My vacation in America was anything but a vacation though the kindness of the people mitigated in some degree the hard work of enormous distances to be traversed & endless speeches (or rather perhaps I hope innumerable speeches) to be made."
