Summary
Saying he would be honored to join the Wordsworth Society; saying "Although it is true as you say that we are personally unknown to one another yet as a humble worshipper of Wordsworth I am familiar with your book & have often thanked you for it in my heart. I shall be greatly honoured by being allowed to be a member of your Club [Wordsworth Society]. If you should ever be in London & will do me the honour to call here I have several serious bits of Wordsworth Literature which I shall be delighted to show you. I do not possess myself an original of the Descriptive Sketches - & I never ever saw a copy of the Translation of the second book of the Æneid - But I will inquire amongst my kinsmen & friends for both or either...They are I know extremely scarce."
