Summary
Concerning E.H. Coleridge's work on the Life and Letters of Lord Coleridge; saying he has been corresponding with Sheriff Shairp "...with regard to letters from his father to Lord Coleridge, and he has kindly given me permission to use some of them - I also consulted him with regard to the letters from Lord Coleridge published in Principal Shairp & His Friends, of which, thanks to J. Murray, I am now the proud possessor;" adding that Murray gave him permission to use certain pages but asks him to also get consent from Professor Knight which he is doing by means of this letter; adding "I spent a night at The Stepping Stones in November - and, since then Gordon Wordsworth has been to dine with me at Croydon. I expect that the 7th vol. of the new Byron will be out in a few days. I finished my share of the work many months ago, but it has been a long business."
