Sending him a copy of a paragraph from the February 25, 1822 issue of The Courier and saying he could also use it for his "Life;" sending him "...in late fulfillment of my promise ... a very precious scrap for the Cottage - precious as it is to me, but nothing that I could give too precious for so honourable a destination...only one thing - it ought not to be copied until my book is out."
