Summary
Apologizing for the trouble he has caused him over his carelessness in losing a copy of an article; referring to "Farnell's candidature. He is a good man. But there are several candidates of unusual distinction;" adding, in a postscript, "This country is being devastated by motor cars. We dare not show our faces on the roads. In two successive days 3 horses have been driven frantic, & I have narrowly escaped a bad accident."
