Written on mourning stationery printed "27 Palmerston Place / Edinburgh."
Butcher's wife, Rose Julia Trench (1848-1902) was Alfred Trench's sister. Trench partnered with Charles Kegan Paul to form the publishing house Kegan Paul, Trench & Company.
