Summary
Concerning Knight's bequest to Dove Cottage: "I said to you, before I left, that while I was away, I could not look into the matters belonging to the Dove Cottage bequest; and you have as much authority as I upon the sub-committee appointed to consider its housing. Indeed, as the giver of the bequest, you have more authority. You have, as I have said, my full consent to having the pictures framed which we selected, as you please; and I presume everyone would desire that you should place them where you please. Armstrong & you could manage that when you go to Dove Cottage, & Dunthorne could do the framing in time"; discussing the cost of renovations to Dove Cottage; discussing having a bookcase built and where it should be placed; telling Knight that he leaves Homburg tomorrow, "but Manchester Sq. will find me."
