Smith" in attendance; writing that he thinks the Trustees of Dove Cottage "ought to have all the papers & the banking accounts in the hands of a good solicitor who, being paid for his work, should be permanent"; discussing the election of additional Trustees; enclosing Smith's letter (this is no longer with the item) and saying that he had sent George Macmillan's letter to his brother William Brooke.
