Summary
Enclosing a letter from his brother William with a proposition and asking his opinion of it (this item is no longer with Stopford's letter); saying that George Craik has organized a meeting of the Committee in March, at which they will discuss the housing of Knight's gift; discussing his upcoming trip to Dove Cottage: "I am going to Grasmere to look into the question of bookcases etc for the books. Whether we build a museum or not, we shall have to make bookcases for books & frames for pictures -- & house them in Dove Cottage before they are transferred -- if ever, to a Museum [...] I am going there altogether for the purpose of seeing what can be done about your things."
