Summary
Telling Knight that he had written to George Craik and suggested that the forty pictures Knight has donated to Dove Cottage be framed, and that "it would be well worthwhile to spend 10.0.0 out of capital on such an interesting & generous gift as yours"; discussing how this should be handled: "It would be best to have the pictures etc. sent to me when I return in October. I would then see that they were properly framed & take them up myself to Grasmere. I am sure that Dunthorne the picture dealer wd. take great pains with them, & as 40 wd. be framed at the same time do them more cheaply than usual"; adding that he will propose that a tablet be installed in Dove Cottage acknowledging Knight's gift; saying that there is no chance of him coming to Scotland and that he is in Wales to see his mother.
