Summary
Apologizing for not having replied to his invitation more promptly but explaining that "...London in the season, and in the season of Women's Congresses is a veritable pandemonium. I hadn't much to do with the congresses myself, excepting my interest in them and lending both my daughters to facilitate the mechanical part of the organization, but that and preparing for my Israelitish wanderings, perhaps my last, through this well beloved country, rather confused my perceptions of time & space and I am horrified to see how remiss I have been in thanking you for your most kind invitation;" asking if she might reschedule her visit to a day between July 24-August 7 when she returns to Edinburgh; giving her address with Mrs. Findlay in Aberlour after she leaves Edinburgh.
