Summary
Declining an offer to join the Wordsworth Club; saying "I have in like manner refused to belong to the Shakspeare[sic] Society. Life is too short for these things - at least my life, as school-inspecting has made it, is. Bishop Wordsworth is a most natural and proper President, and the plan of a chronological edition of the Poems is most attractive, though I foresee difficulties in the execution of it."
