Apologizing for not being able to make "my hoped-for visit to St. Andrews"; relating that the Queen has made Ainger one of the Honorary Chaplains, "and commanded me to preach at Windsor on March 10th"; discussing "domestic anxieties", including "the health of one young niece who has to leave home for a while to be under medical care"; mentioning that "Poor A.K.H.B." has invited Ainger to be his guest in Scotland but that the latter is "wholly laid aside, I fear, by serious illness."
