Summary:

Commenting on Lord Wellington; saying he has heard Lord Wellington "...is made a Peer - at which no man can rejoice more than I do - You know my enthusiastic partiality to his Lordship - and in fact for it is to him alone I owe my present situation - in fact had I never received any favor from his hands, I should always rejoice at any new honors which may be confered upon him because I think him the Greatest General England or any other Country Ever produced...I have another piece of news for you & next to Lord Wellington I ought to Rejoice at Marshal Beresfords being created a Knight of the Bath;" relating news of a mutual friend.
