Ruskin invited Stillman to travel with him in the alps in the spring and summer of 1860, after which they had something of a falling out and Stillman worked more in photography than painting.

Summary
Says that he is laid up with cold and heartily vexed. He is anxious to see Stillman's paintings and will come the very first day that he can get out.
