Collection consists primarily of 18 letters from Standish O'Grady to his literary agent William Morris Colles and other unidentified associates. The letters mostly concern matters related to the publishing of his books and short stories as well as serial publication in Ireland, England, and America (MA14961.1-.18); matters of copyright (MA14961.3, .15); and services provided by the Author's Syndicate (MA14961.4, .7, .10, .13, .15), the non-profit literary agency for which Colles served as managing director. The collection also contains 2 letters written by William Morris Colles (MA14961.19-.20) and addressed to O'Grady and a Mr. Searle respectively, explicating an issue of payment and copyright that arose between O'Grady, Edward Marston, and the Syndicate (MA14961.15, .19-.20).
