Saying that they will be in Milwaukee for a month and have sublet an apartment from the same woman as last year; discussing their trip to France in June; discussing how Robert Bly's speech went, the reactions, and how Jonathan Kozol's speech moved her; mentioning his book "Death at an early age" which she will get Merwin a copy for when he visits in the fall; sharing two lovely stories, despite two terrible deaths, threat of riots, destruction of the Poor People's March, etc.; detailing the story of running into a former student and his little brother and the day they shared and the approval for her school to accept more students and become more racially balanced; expressing how excited they are to see him this summer and meet Dido; adding that if they hear of an empty flat, she will let him know; concluding that she will get James to France and leave him there for a while; giving the summer schedule of the Wrights which will include: June 20-July 22 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, July 22-August 12 in Cupertino, California, August 12-August 22 in New Concord (New Columbus), Ohio, and August 22-August 30 in Weekapoong, Rhode Island.
