Summary
Relating the news of 25 school girls, pupils of the daughter of Henry Bradley at the Oxford Dictionary, came to his club to row to Kew Gardens and then walk through the Gardens followed by tea before going home; adding that he expects that next July they will do it again with 60 or 70 girls from Hammersmith; addressing a question about the use of the old spelling in Hamlet; adding "I'm a great stay at home, & don't willingly give up an evening, as it generally means staying up till 3 to answer letters &. Can you come to tea with me some day at the ABC [tea shop], 66 New Oxford St., 1st floor at 4:30? I'm generally there every day. But give me a day's warning to make sure;" adding, in a postscript, "I'm so sorry the women have taken to bellringing, breaking windows, &c."
