Summary
Describing a Mr. Montefiore he met in Sydney; saying "The Mr. Montefiore whom I met at Sydney was a very superior and interesting person, but I cannot tell you whether he was the manager of the Pacific Insurance Co. He called on me and took me with him to the Fine Arts Exhibition - where I accidentally learnt that some of the best drawings on the walls were his own workmanship. This perhaps may enable you to judge whether he was the brother of whom you speak. It is unlikely that there should be two Montefiores in Sydney who should both be cultivated artists."
