The letter is simply addressed "Dear P." It is possible it was addressed to John William Parker (1820-1860) who with his father, John William Parker (1792-1870) owned Fraser's Magazine.
Written on stationery embossed "Ray / Lodge" and dated "Thursday Evening."
Removed from vol. 1 of the St. Paul's Cathedral collection, a six-volume bound set of letters, portraits and prints related to the history of the cathedral.
Summary
Concerning an author whose name is unclear who "...wishes to publish a 'Continental Edition - and writes to know my terms.
