It is unclear whether Froude is writing to the father or the son who jointly owned Fraser's Magazine. The salutation reads "My dear Parker."

Removed from an extra-illustrated copy of Froude. Life of Carlyle.
Sending him a review and saying "The Elizabeth papers are not yet returned to me. When they come it will probably be with some available criticism which I may make use of;" adding, in a postscript, "There is a thing of mine on Knox in the Westminster which may or may not interest you."
