Summary
Inviting her and Mr. du Maurier to dinner on Thursday 6th or Friday 7th. There is a darling little man in London just now H.H. Johnston the Governour of Nyassa Land He takes in 3 french reviews in Central Africa, reads every thing and is simply prostrate with adoration of Peter Ibbetson - He loved it so much he says that he can't love Trilby quite in the same first love way. He knows most people but has never met Mr. du Maurier. I have promised to do my best to give him that real treat. It would be at least as great a treat to me too - only I know what a long drive it is from Hampstead! Would you accept our spare room for the night? We should be so delighted & proud."
