Chiding him for not leaving £70 at a coffee house as promised, and advising him to be more punctual in America than he "ever seemed to think necessary in Europe." Reporting that his daughter and wife (Macrabie's sister) are well, remarking that if she writes to Macrabie, he must thank Francis since "between the delightful occupation of scolding her maids & mending her children's stockings, I don't think she would hardly have found time to think of her relations." Mentioning that he travels to Lisle for a tour of Holland that day and describing at length a sword he has purchased.
