Summary
Referring to a "new Agreement between the Company and the Public and I flatter myself we shall settle without much Dispute. We are hard run in Leadenhall Street as to Numbers;" adding on the 24th of February "We are still negociating [sic] with Government for 21 years Prolongation of the Companys Charter;" adding on the 24th of March "We are in hopes we shall soon settle with Gov't for the Renewal of the Charter--It was in agitation in Authum [sic] to send out a new Gov'r from home but that wild Idea is laid aside."
