Summary
Saying he has been ill for the past ten days, unable to read or write "...not even to write you a line for your silver wedding. I had to content myself with a telegram and a small token which I trust reached you in safety. I am now a bit better & can write a line to congratulate you & Mrs. Henley and to wish you every happiness & prosperity till the golden number comes...I am better a lot today for the first time free form head pains & the relief is very great. I shall tinker along for a bit & then when weather is better try for a get-away. Send me a line at yr leisure to tell me how you are & how things go with you both."
