Summary
Discussing his search for a new place to live, mentioning a "small farm or other" near Dumfries. Describing a visit to a Masonic lodge where the presiding Grand Master gave the toast "Caledonia, & Caledonia's Bard, brother B---." Mentioning that Burns had "no idea sucha thing would happen and was downright thunderstruck." Describing his pious landlady, noting he has corrected 152 pages, and sending good wishes to Mr. Aiken.
