According to the Bibliography of English Literature, Volume III, 1800-1900, edited by F.W. Bateson and first published by the Cambridge University Press in 1940, Southey's first collection of "Poems" was published as Volume 1 in 1797 and was described as "Second Edition, being partly made up from 'Poems, 1795." It appears that the revisions and the accompanying detailed instructions for a reprinting relate to the Third Edition published by Biggs and Cottle in 1799.
