Confirming receipt of a letter from Humphry; saying "I am very sorry about this Purchase, as it must be so good for Master Cox"; continuing "However since I received yours I have happen'd to be talking with a Friend, whose views are such that He would have no objection to buy such a thing if the Price was not very extravagant -- do you think anything might come of this? & will you ask what would be taken if the thing is not concluded?"; writing that he expects he will receive a letter from Humphry tomorrow; mentioning the possibility of his going to Bridgwater with Charles James Fox.
