Written from Lower Brook Street.
On the verso, there is a fragment of a reply from Peter Burrell to Henry Addington, dated January 28, 1790 and titled "answer sent to the Speaker of the House of Commons;" saying that Mr. Burke had requested the court be aired in the early part of the trial, but that upon consulting the officers of the Board of Works, "as to the propriety of such a Plan", he [Burrell] "was convinced it was [a] measure replete with so much danger to the building and consequently to all the valuable records which are in its neighborhood."
Provenance
Purchased by Pierpont Morgan from Pearson in 1890.
Summary
Requesting that the "Court may be properly aired" before the trial resumes.
