Summary
Criticizing Audubon and his work ("As to Audubon, I do not hesitate to declare that I have the most unfavourable opinion of his ornithology; and I have rec'd from the United States, information which fully convinces me, that he has not given us a true account of himself in his 'Introductory Address'") and declining to publish some descriptions of British birds. With reference to Judge Hall's review of Ornithological Biography in The Western Monthly Magazine, July 1834.
