Summary
Discusses distribution of work to different groups of enslaved people (between the Mansion and different farms); Washington instructs Whiting that projects should be done correctly rather than left incomplete; gives instructions on making a living fence by planting trees; discusses a spring near the mansion, planting hedges, and finding the thieves that are stealing hogs; finally, instructs Whiting to keep track of the lambs and inform Washington if he needs money; (in postscript at the bottom) informs him that new spoons may be needed.
