Summary
Rejecting his offer to be the Tenant on his Farm at Stanford; expressing his desire to have "a Tenant resident upon the spot who will attend to the Farm and give up his whole time to it such a person is more likely to be found by my Steward than by yourself who could naturally have no other object than the right of shooting over the Manor which is always reserved to the landlord in every Norfolk Lease. Under these circumstances I am sure you will excuse me for begging leave to decline the honor of your offer of becoming Tenant to that Farm."
