Purchased by Pierpont Morgan from the London dealer Quaritch in July 1905 as part of a collection of Burney's correspondence and fragments of manuscripts, bound in three volumes. Disbound in 1925.
Summary
Inviting FB to come visit her in Thames Ditton: "I have fulfilled all my Engagements & return'd last Night from my last Excursion, meaning to finish'd [sic] the year 85 in this Place, therefore I beg you to Name your own Time for giving me the great Pleasure of your promised Visit, & only beg it may be as long as you can possibly bestow upon me. You will find us quite alone"; mentioning that she has visited Mary Delany at Windsor twice, "& found her better than I expected."
