Summary
Requesting that Adams notify the local Selectmen for the towns and places he will survey of the work he will be doing, "in order that it Should not excite the jealousy or mistrust of any citizen of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, when they will See foreigners Surveying in their vicinity and over their property;" providing him with the names of those working with him; proposing that he will survey Boston Harbor, Salem, Marblehead, Cape Ann and Portland.
