Notes
Written from "24 Royal Crescent / Glasgow C.3."
John Connell's "W.E. Henley" was published in London by Constable in 1949.
There is an unsigned note with these letters saying "Mrs. Richmond was housekeeper to the Henley's, & Anna Henley lived with her after W.E.H.'s death. She was Anna's residuary legatee. She lent Jack a few letters in 1948, while he was writing the book. In November (?) 1950 she sent - out of the blue - the 'three lots of Henley papers' referred to in this letter. This great treasure is now in the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York."

Summary
Sending letters to W.E. Henley from T.E. Brown (MA 1617.371); saying "In cleaning down shelves in my 'illegible] coup' which at one time would be a maids sleeping apartment I discovered in a box letters from T.E. Brown to W. E. H. along side a part dictionary dealing with the Words beginning with the letter M for The Slang Dictionary. I have been looking for a Photograph of Charles Baxter sent from Italy to Mrs. Henley. Tis a back of him in the act of writing to her when I find it I will send it on with The M. Dictionary and two letters which I found at the same time. They may be of service. I was looking for C.B. picture in a long drawer in my desk when I came on your letter written to me in September. I was so glad because then I got your address which I could not remember. I tried The Mitchell library. An attendant looked up Directory for John Connell, Biographer of Henley but failed to find you all I could say 'you live out of London;" adding, in an undated 2nd letter (MA 1617.372 that she had received his note telling her that he had received her package of "Three lots of Henley Papers;" adding "I thought the Broadcast on W.
