Summary
Sending six copies of a proclamation issued by King George III and directed against seditious publications (the copies are no longer with the circular), so that the recipient "may take proper Measures for carrying the same into effect; and for encouraging all officers and Persons to exert themselves in their respective Stations to discover and bring to justice the authors of the offences therein mentioned, & to preserve the Public Tranquillity."
