Reporting on his Regiment; saying that he has received orders for three Regiments at his Garrison, the Royals, Royal Irish and 50th Regiment, to be prepared to embark but with no indication of the destination; adding that no transports have arrived and there is speculation that the destination will be the West Indies or "Eastward;" saying that the Royal Irish are sufficiently clothed but he cannot promise that he can clothe new recruits; reporting on news from Lord Hood related to activity at Toulon; relating various personnel problems.
