Summary
Being the autograph manuscript of the third series of Tales of a Grandfather, containing: a portion of Vol. 1 (chapters 7-8 and parts of chapters 6 and 9); most of Vol. 2 (chapters 1-6 and the first paragraphs of chapter 7) and Followed by a note (6 p.) being a letter from Lord Lovat to Cameron of Lochiel (which is largely in an unknown hand but with autograph additions by Scott); and a sixteen-line fragment from Vol. 3 regarding the Cameronians (added to the collection in 1925). Written on the rectos and with corrections and additions on many of the versos of 84 leaves.
