Notes
Previously cataloged as written "ca. 1803, based on the watermarks," but the watermarks are all clearly 1809.
Scott's translation of "Die heilige Fehme," by Veit Weber [pseud] was later retitled "The House of Aspen" and published in "The Keepsake" 1830 (London [1830]). The manuscript differs considerably from that text and from other manuscript versions.
