Being a document in two parts; the first part being "The humble supplication of the General Assembly convened at Edinburgh the 12th of August 1639 to His Majestie's High Commissionar" and the second part being "The Act of His Majesties most Honourable Privie Counsell at Edinburgh the 30th of August 1639 containing the answer to the supplication above written."
