Asking for his assistance in the return of Daniel Parker, convicted of horse theft, who has escaped from a South Carolina jail and is believed to be in the his State; adding that it appears that Parker's intent is "to take away the life of Brigadier General Anderson, if he once more regains his liberty & I am persuaded your Excellency will unite with me in thinking it is my duty to prevent so atrocious an Act;" asking that he be returned if he finds he is being held in a jail in his State.
