Summary
Concerning the rank of Colonel Maitland; saying that his understanding is that "His Royal Highness objects to Colonel Maitland having the appointment of Quarter Master General, and that He considers on the present occasion Lt. Col. Keith sufficient to act at the head of that Department to the Corps to be under your Command;" expressing his certainty that he will get approval for the appointment of Dr. Wright as Head of his Medical Staff and that "His Royal Highness will approve of your sending to Ireland the Women you speak of in your second Letter."
