Saying "I must just send a hurried line to say how immensely I enjoyed your celebration yesterday. Many congratulations. As I am writing, might I say how glad I should be to have your Motor verses? The fact is that the next number of 'The World's Work' for February will practically be a Motor Number, and I can assure you that your Poem should have as much prominence as I could possibly manage. If I could have two copies early next week, I would also struggle to copyright in America and get some money from there as well."
