Summary
Accepting his invitation to be godfather to a child recently born; apologizing for not having congratulated him sooner but the .."occupation of missing Partridges has so compleatly consumed all my mornings since I have been here.."adding that he "shall not be farther from you than London or Hollwood [sic], at the Time of the Christening, in which Case, I shall be very glad of so good a reason of taking a dinner at Beckenh[am]...We understand the Batteries are opened against Dunkirk, and Admiral Macbride sailed from hence yesterday afternoon, having previously sent several Vessels to the Coast."
