Summary
Informing him that the communications with Colonel Trumbull with both oral and written and he has enclosed those that were written; saying he will call on him "before Eleven; but lest any accident should prevent my seeing you, I beg leave to repeat that I adhere to the opinion that a prompt immediate & decisive negative should be given to any proposition that may be made or insinuation given to obtain money from us in any shape or under any pretence."
