Summary
Concerning the "Sum appropriated by the Commissioners & myself to be laid out in presents of Condolance to the Indians at the Ensuing Treaty to be held by you;" specifying that the sum will be £1,000; giving him the freedom, should he find it necessary, "to enlarge the presents even to the amount of £200, or £300 more;" saying "it is not in my power as yet to give you any agreeable News relative to Frederick Stump, as the Villains, who make a merit of having rescued him, have notwithstanding our Expectations, given him his Liberty; though it is believed he has not quitted the Province."
