Summary
Apologizing that he is unable to report the results of his "Conversation in the Closet", as he reached St. James's too late; saying he will write "to the King tomorrow or Saturday and do not see that any substantial objection can arise any where to what We talked of. - I was much obliged to you for your Midnight Comment, which I communicated yesterday Evening to our Lawyers. Our labours lasted to nearly the same Hour as yours, and I [illegible] We shall do all that is necessary, avoiding a Recommittment."
