Informing him that he is leaving for Fishkill and asks that his "Wine and Loaf Sugar" be sent on to him and "leather for a pair of Boots. I Could not find a Boot Maker when at Hartford & must beg you to furnish Leather for me or I Shall be in as bad a Hobble as [next few words torn away]...a good Waggoner faithful & honest I want if you can find Such an One I shall esteem myself Particularly obliged by your Care for me. What is doing to bee (?) our Army? will the Measures propos'd answer their Intention? if you find yourself at leisure to make a Tour to Thunder Hill I Shall be glad to see you. how long I Shall stay in uncertain as I am yet undetermined whether I Shall continue long in Service."
