Saying that she is writing on behalf of her husband Robert Wiedemann Barrett Browning, "who is unable to use his eyes"; thanking Knight for his "kindness in respect to the letters placed at Mrs [Alexandra] Sutherland Orr's disposal," for use in preparing her biography of Robert Browning; explaining that her husband asked Mrs. Orr to undertake the biography in order to provide an accurate account of Browning's life: "otherwise it would not have been done, for my dear Father-in-law had a horror of anything of this kind"; writing that they hope to have the pleasure of receiving Knight in Venice someday; adding that they also expect to be in England towards the end of the year.
